SubRosaSoft.com announced the immediate availability of VolumeWorks 1.5, its system utility and data recovery application, on Tuesday. The updated version is a Universal Binary application capable of running natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. It also supports dynamically resizing disk partitions, converts the boot disk format used by PowerPC Macs to the newer format that Intel Macs require, performs disk testing and repairs, moves partitions, and more.

VolumeWorks 1.5 is available for download at the SubRosaSoft.com Web site, and is priced at US$49.95, or $59.95 on a bootable CD. The update is free for version 1.x users.
