LightSpeed 2 Adds Intel Mac Support

Xsilva Systems announced the immediate availability of LightSpeed 2.0 on Wednesday. The new version of the point of sale application is Universal Binary allowing it to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. It also added an iTunes-like interface for browsing through products, support for multi-store product lookups, and added a "floating" point of sale interface. A separate Web store module is also available as an add-on.

LightSpeed 2.0 is priced starting at US$749. The new version is a free download for customers with a current subscription plan.
