A few times lately this has popped up on my screen after I tell Siri to shut my lights off. Am I also accidentally holding a button down that is causing this message?

Exactly what is your request to Siri? Does it use the word “switch”? Might Siri think you’re referring to Switch Control, which is part of Accessibility?

“Bedroom lights off” Can’t figure out what I’m doing to cause this.
Have you looked at Switch Control settings to see if anything is active?
