I have two macs with Apple sharing enabled on each machine for the user folder.  The problem is of the 12 visible user/subfolders nine work as expected but three subfolders are empty

What makes this more interesting is this behavior is identical between these macs.  Mac A can’t access user/Desktop, user/Documents and user/Downloads on Mac B.  Mac B can’t access user/Desktop, user/Documents and user/Downloads on Mac A.

The nine accessible folders show their actual size while the inaccessible folders show Zero bytes in Finder.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
