Hi there. 

I'm new to apple mac’s. I have been given a Mac that wasn’t in use, it’s a mid 2011 21.5 running OS X Lion and I’m trying to update to the elcapitan and then to high sierra. Basically I can’t see any logos or images on the App Store or when I go onto safari. I have found the page to download El Capitan but I cannot click the link to download as i can’t see it! Not sure if it’s something in my settings blocking me from doing so. Without downloading one of the updates I can’t really do anything on the mac.
