Modem recommendations

I am finally getting rid of my "land" line. Actually, it is phone service provided by Cox. In order to remove the phone service, I need to buy my own modem. I am really not interested in one with wireless capabilities since I have an Eero. Do you have any recommendations as to which modem I should buy--or avoid?

Start here, with the Cox certified cable modems list:

If you have Gigabit cable service, then you need to find a DOCSIS 3.1 modem

If you have less than say 300 megabits, then a DOCSIS 3.0 modem will do and it will be a lot less expensive than a 3.1

The fact that you are eliminating the landline, means you do not need to worry about getting a cable modem with voice support, so that gives you more to choose from.
