I'm working with someone right now who has a 2017 iMac with a second display connected to it. Every time he double-clicks a message to open it in Mail on his main display the message opens on his secondary display. Dragging the messages over and then closing them does not train Mail to open new messages on the primary display though. Anyone have thoughts? Do we need a third party utility for this?

Hi Ari. Did you try right-clicking on Mail on the Dock and assigning the app to a specific desktop?
