I haven't been in the App store on my late 2013 MBP running Mojave for a while and it's nagging me to do some updates.
I have 4 apps that need updating plus the OS. What's the best way round to do this? I have always done OS first, then apps but maybe I',m wrong... what say you guys?
@earthsaver’s process is definitely a fine way to go these days, and will take care of it all for you.
That said, and for a general practice (including non-app-store apps), I would update apps first, then macOS. In the (rare) event that an app won’t launch with the new version, you save yourself the trouble by updating the app first.
If you click Update All, App Store will manage the whole process.
Even I would update the apps first and then OS because I need to see that my apps sync perfectly with new OS update.
