Reminder that T2 equipped Macs have non-transferable encryption & security
For those geeks & consultants & hardware manipulators who have been used to being able to pull a drive from a Mac and plug it into an enclosure or another Mac... This screen shot from Carbon Copy Cloner is a reminder about Apple's methodology regards FileVault encryption which states: "This encryption is performed with 256-bit keys tied to a unique identifier within the T2 chip." Backups become even more important!
Thanks, @kiwigraham. Yeah, this T2 chip is likely going to cause problems and confusion for more people than it actually helps in terms of security.
