Raspberry Pi NAS
I Recently picked up a tiny Raspberry Pi with the intent of learning a bit about creating a simple NAS. The cost is $35US for the latest Raspberry Pi. I attached a used 1TB external powered 3.5” HDD and with the online help step by step instructions from a post on the raspberryp1.org site called “Setting up Samba File Sharing/Network Attached Storage (NAS)” by a John Mc on February 13/2018.
It works like a charm. I loaded the HDD external with movies and music and have found that it easily plays the content to my Mac, iPad, iPhone and Apple TV using my WiFi home network.
I am wondering if anyone else here in the forum has experimented with NAS using this little device.
