Sky: Children of the Light After Delay

The game became widely available, including in the U.S. It is also available for iPhone and iPad.

Fans got a preview of it during Apple’s September 2017 press event. In December 2018 the game became available in the Philippines. However, maker thegamecompany scheduled the global rollout for July 11 this year.  A delay means the game only became available Thursday, 24-hours earlier than expected.

The game is free with in-app purchases available. It requires iOS9 or later or tvOS to run.

  • I’ve been beta-testing this game for about 10 months. It’s a very good and peaceful experience, as one might expect from the company behind Flower. If you ever played Journey on the PlayStation, then you have a good idea of the style: explore, fly about, avoid the dark creatures, and reach the mountain top. There’s no competition here — only cooperation. New is a much larger multi-player component. While the entire game can be played alone, it heavily emphasises making friends with people and teaming up to accomplish your goals… without language! Players come from all over the world, and you have to reach higher levels of friendship with them before you can open a chat channel. Until then, there are 30-ish emotes that you can use to express yourself.

I love it for the meditative experience.
