802.11AX and WPA3
I see on 9-to-5 mac that new routers are coming on the market that support 802.11ax (the successor to 802.11ac)....and WPA3 encryption. While I have no intention to replace my routers with new ones just to gain these features, I'm wondering if anyone knows if its possible to upgrade older routers with firmware to enable support for these new standards?
Looks to me like you will need a completely different chipset to run the radios. I know ubiquity has a bata Version for sale, nearly $800! For one AP.
