Perhaps you are getting lots of cars, hydrants, and streetlights these days. captchas used to just be captchas. Then Amazon Mechanical Turk (google it) figured out how to monetize captchas to help it make quick human decisions.  

Now others like google have caught on, and it seems like all the captchas are related somehow to training self-driving cars.  Someone is paying a lot of money to seed the captcha system with images that “might” help improve self driving cars someday.
