Apple has released a new ad emphasizing its privacy credentials. It shows a man going about his daily life and every company he interactions with following him. It’s a humorous way of showing how App Tracking Transparancy works.  The soundtrack is cleverly chosen too – Mind Your Own Business by Delta 5.

    I think it would have been better if, after all of the followers in his apartment pop out, one person remains by the bookshelves. S/he points to a set of books and says “Hey! You like Douglas Adams, too? I run an online bookstore that specializes in that kind of story” and they sit on the couch to talk about their favorite books. This would show the benefits of selectively choosing who you want to follow you.
