The Team of the Week award isn't necessarily given out to the best team every week... otherwise, the same team would get it every week! Instead, we pick teams that play well and more importantly surprise us with good all-around play and strategic planning. To view detailed statistics about any team, click on their heading.

One of the few low seeds to win this week, WP also pulled some quite
nice strategies and tactics into their match. Highlights were the
trow/ghol maneuver in game 1 which both brought their trow into the
major battle and enabled their ghol to tag a flag, and the damaging of
tna's own units with their warlock's fireball in game 2.

After some poor showings early on in the tournament, pundits were
predicting ID's quick exit in Round 2 when they met young
up-and-comers Glue the Moose. However, in a dazzling display of
coordination and reactive strategy, Ira Dei easily defeated their GtM
opponents, running rings around the increasingly frustrated Moose.

If we were giving out 'Most Improved Since MWC98' awards, Snap,
Krackle, Die! would walk away with a great big shiny trophy. While
they obviously had a lot of fun in MWC98, their level of gameplay
wasn't quite up there with the top orders and they were eliminated
rather early on. This year, all that has changed; their playbook is
crammed full of cunning ploys, coordinated attacks and excellent use
of combined arms. This week, they showed off their stuff by defeating
the formidable Evil Incorporated, an order with an illustrious history
that stretches back into the glory days of Myth I. Their feat earns
them this week's "Team of the Week" award.

After meeting with an early loss to Ascension in round one, the Dwarven
Elite Strike Force went on a streak of conquering their opponents. Some were
surprised as they went forth to eliminate Demo Clans United from the bottom
bracket. Suspense grew as they went on to eliminate The Wight Foundation.
Their final victory over Ira Dei was almost shocking, especially with the ID
vs. GtM battle in such recent memory, and it proved to be enough to seal
their claim on the "Team of the Week" award for round 4.

Glue the Moose are one of the more infamous teams participating
in MWC99. A collection of strong-willed players from the halls of ranked
bungie.net, we have seen their teamwork evolve and grow over the weeks
as this motley crew have forged together into a formidable fighting
force. This week, they faced off against Fellowship of Stoneheim and
Snap, Krackle, Die ... two opponents who were completely undefeated a
week before, with Snap even carrying a four-trow threat rating. This
pair of great victories gives GtM the final Team of the Week award, as
we move into the final few games of MWC99.
