WINNOWING ROUND 6 - MATCH 6W01

Civil Order defeats Glue the Moose 22 - 15
[match coverage]

First off, this match has NOT yet been reviewed. After the trouble I got into for reviewing civil's last match, I'm not going to do that again. I just needed somewhere to post these notes on the judgements concerning the rules disputes that took place in the match.

In the first game of Territories, the Myth engine went somewhat astray and ended the game prematurely when one flag was still contested. As per the rules, the postgame flag totals of 6-0 were used to score the game as 15-0 to GtM.

In the final game of Captures, there were two problems. Firstly, Rauko of GtM used a mortar dwarf to blast two balls up onto a hill where no units available on that mesh could walk to contest them. This was obviously intentional (requiring multiple mortar blasts to do so) and as per the ball handling rules these balls are awarded to the opponents, Civil Order.

Secondly, Civil Order contested several balls between their two allied teams in order to extend Sudden Death so that they could try reaching these balls. This is not allowed by the allied scoring rules, and so the score for the game is taken as it was before this extension of sudden death took place.

TOP ROUND 5 - MATCH 5T02

Alliance defeats Mac Gamers' Guild 100 - 58
[match coverage]

None of these games are blowouts, and neither team plays any wild cards. Both teams play hard and well, and everyone's good spirits enhance the films. Abridged film scripts of each game follow!

TOP ROUND 4 - MATCH 4T04

Alliance defeats Snap, Krackle, DIE! 93 - 29
[match coverage]

2 Undefeated Orders,Both remain unscathed,Both remain untouched,Both have a threat rating of 4 trows and both have played magnificently against their opponents in their road towards to glory,Both want to taste the elixir of victory......very bad If you want to see what happens when an immovable object fares up against the unstoppable force, this is the match to see,one was bound to be crushed and one left standing.

Despite the beautifully orchestrated moves by Snaps flanking invading parties which I call the "triangular death flanks"in Cracks Capture the flag,It did not achieve the result it was planned for because the unstoppable force met up with a brick wall in Alliances defenses, and they could do all but just continuosly knock on the front door of Alliance, givng the Alliance team an opportune chance to sneak a handful of warriors to clobber the meager defense put up by Snap in their homeflag.

Snap uttered"we are foreign to losing,Don't let this get to us"which showed a renewed strength to go at it again but alas.... Even by changing the pace into a more aggressive one in Game 2,Snap was still unable to conquer the defense placed by Alliance on their flag and a very patient Alliance team again ,grabbed this advantage by creating a "walkathon" towards the backside of Snaps defense caputring their flag in 2 minutes endtime.

Captures Dark Canyon was no different ,Alliance had obviously been practising these maps and were well coordinated with their offense and defense,The counter offense towards Snaps flank by Alliances "3 terror trows" had created a tremendous amount of damage to their army when they breached through Snapland,"Resistance is futile"these 3 trows seemed to say,and snap had to bow down in grace by not having enough offense to win the first game. A very surprising second game will leave your jaws hanging since Alliance was now leading by 3 games to none,Snap wanted blood! and their renowned "Deathflanks"were set in motion, and due to their intensity to carry out their deathstrike, they had carelessly forgotten the balls that they were supposed to keep,an extremely short game ending at the 9 minute mark.

By now it seemed that Snap was confounded at what they saw in front of their very eyes,Alliance was playing very brilliantly,no matter how hard they tried, their efforts only produced frustration ,On the last game of Untamed Flag Rally,Alliance shone not as individuals but as a team for their brilliant play and teamwork, obliterating a snap team at the early stages of the game giving them the distinct advantage to give the final blow to Snap,a brave effort by snap to take the needed 2 flags of Alliance was thwarted again by a strong defense, and when the battle was over,All snap could say was ......"You =A= guys rocked!"

Proving again after my 2 reviews of =A=s performance that Alliance is indeed a force to be reckoned with in Myth,"A Myth Powerhouse"."A Myth Power Order"

WINNOWING ROUND 4 - MATCH 4W03

The Companions defeats Wolfpack 56 - 26
[match coverage]

Both teams played extremely well, but C's strategies were more then a match for WP with Gore at the helm and his trusty Cs backing each other up beautifully. WP could have had this match I believe, but unfotunately for them, the execution wasn't there when it needed to be. I give this match a three ghol rating, because from the daring capture of WP's flag, to the excellent tactics on Untamed, this match was a blast to watch.

ELIMINATION ROUND 5 - MATCH 5E03

Snap, Krackle, DIE! defeats The Companions 47 - 43
[match coverage]

Two classy orders go toe-to-toe, and show us the skills that brought them this far. My heart is lucky not to have been part of the pulse-pounding action in games 1 and 2. Both teams played well in the first 2 games, with the Companions taking it to snap's side of the field in both. snap's rebuttals were strong enough to take the day.
