[2:00 PM] Apple Chosen As Symbol Of 1980's Technology For Float In Upcoming Parade (With Pic)
by Staff

Observer John Harvard has eyes of an eagle. He sent us a note about one of the floats for the upcoming Mobile Mystics Mardi Gras Association's Mobile Mystics Parade. It would seem that Apple was chosen as the symbol of 1980's technology for the Eighties Tech float. The parade will be held on February 26th in Mobile, Alabama. The instructions for finding the image yourself if you are interested in checking out the other floats:

Click "Pictures" then click "Floats" - this is picture 07 about in the middle.

Great pick for showing tech revolution of the 80's.

You can find more information on the organization, the upcoming parade, and the floats at the organization's web site. Thanks to John Harvard for bringing this to our attention.

The Mac Observer Spin: Let's play Spot The Problem in the image. The first that comes to mind is the two button mouse leading to the keyboard. The second is the lack of a power key on the keyboard. But who cares? It's a big Apple logo in a parade that will be seen by lots of folks. BTW, the Association's site is emblazoned with a "Made With Macintosh" note.
