by Staff

Kanex Group has released an update to MacPopUp, bringing the chat/instant message application to version 1.0.1. This release is a maintenance release that fixes some outstanding issues from the debut release last month. According to Kanex Group:

Today Kanex Group Inc. released MacPopUp 1.0.1

MacPopUp is a program that allows Mac users to exchange instant messages with other users on any local area network (LAN). With MacPopUp, you can send and receive messages from different operating systems such as Mac OS, Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows for Workgroups, Linux and other UNIX OSes.

The following bugs were fixed in the latest version:

  • some compatibility problems with the similar clients in other operating systems;
  • the Error Type 2 occurs when a different font is selected;
  • MacPopUp shuts down when returning from the Sleep mode.

You can find more information at the company's web site. The update is free to registered users while the full version is priced at US$25. Volume pricing is available.
