[6:00 AM] Hey Mister? Do You Know What Time It Is In Bali?
by Staff

Time Palette, the utility that provides current time anywhere in the World with a click, has been updated to version 4.0. The new version allows greater flexibility in setting alerts, and adds a host of new features. According to the makers of Time Palette:

Time Palette, the premiere international time tool for Macintosh, is about time on a global scale. As world gets smaller and more interdependent each day, communication across time zones has become more important than ever.

At its most basic level, Time Palette facilitates international communications by calculating the local time for any location in the world. With an atlas of 10,000 cities, Time Palette performs detailed time calculations and properly adjusts for different Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time) systems to provide a level of accuracy unmatched by other applications.

However, Time Palette goes far beyond a simple clock by supporting alarms in any time zone, GPS integration, astronomical data such as the times of sunrise, sunset and twilight for any location, navigational calculations, and distance and direction between cities.

Version 4.0 is the most significant release of Time Palette ever, incorporating many user suggestions to bring you the most complete international time tool available on any platform.

Below are some of the great new features in version 4.0.

  • Set reminders to alert you of various events in other time zones.
  • New 12 and 24 hour analog clocks.
  • Plan your international calls for the best time.
  • Estimate your frequent flier mileage for an upcoming trip.
  • Moon phase, times of sunrise, twilight and more for any place and date.
  • New projections and revised political map.
  • Adjustable zoom levels, and map shading for any date and time.
  • Search for locations by city or country.
  • Links to a GPS receiver with GPSy software (available separately).
  • A vastly improved interface with the latest MacOS look and feel.
  • Multiple languages in a single application.
  • Faster performance, less memory and a smaller file size.

Time Palette is available for US$25. You can find more information at the Time Palette web site.
