[2:30 PM] MACWORLD Expo - Steve Jobs drops "Interim" from Title, but remains iCEO!
by Staff
At the end of today's keynote speech (check full coverage for details), Steve Jobs announced that he was dropping "Interim" from his iCEO title at Apple. He went on to say that he felt Apple and Pixar stockholders were able to handle the concept of "dual-CEO" and he wanted to make his position at Apple official once again.
HOWEVER, he has chosen to remain "iCEO" -- he feels the title is cute -- so he has added "Internet" to the beginning of his title and remains, as always, iCEO of Apple Computer, Inc.
The Mac Observer Spin: No great surprise here, but it was interesting to see that he acknowledged Wall Street as his reason for keeping it this way for so long. Glad to know he'll be at the helm for awhile. The Mac market has never been stronger.
