[6:00 AM] The Mac Show Gets Serious
by Staff

The Mac Show, the QuickTime broadcast that is all about Apple and the Mac, has announced some additions to their team. The company has announced new marketing help and other corporate structure. According to The Mac Show:

We're Back Baby!

But wait....something's different......

New web site...

New URL at

New Team.......

New sound.....

New Studio.....

But same old Shawn!

You've *got* to tune in this Wednesday when the "New Era of The Mac Show" is unveiled at 6pm PT, 9pm ET. Shawn has surrounded himself with experienced Internet, radio, audio and marketing professionals!

The new team, called Mac Show Productions, comprises people and expertise from Corporate Media Arts Group, Digital Arts Media Productions, Peak Performance and Bitmovers Networks. We *guarantee* you'll notice the difference!

We've got lots to tell the audience about - everything from Macworld Horror Stories and meeting Steve Jobs to hanging out at 1 Infinite Loop and giving out the "Exclusive Mac Show Expo Awards"!

We'll talk to Lou Mazuchelli and get his take on the Expo along with Nicole Derany, Macworld Expo Show Director. We'll also talk to Bob Levitus and ask him if he really *did* say "Bad Things" about Shawn on Macworld Live! :-)

As usual, one of our favorite guests, Peter Cohen from MacGaming will join us to give us the scoop on the game action at Expo!

Make sure you tune in this and every Wednesday evening for the most fun you'll have listening to your Mac! And join us in our Chat Rooms on the World Without Borders site at or join us on the servers on IRC in the #themacshow Channel.

You can find out more in tonight's (Wednesday's) broadcast.

The Mac Observer Spin: It would seem that the financial and corporate communities are starting to pay much more serious attention to the Mac market. This will lead to much higher quality content for Mac users looking for information. The next 12-18 months is going to see a wave of consolidation in the Mac web market as different magazines find benefits in working together. The end result is going to be a much healthier market in our opinion. In the meanwhile, we wish Mr. King and his new team the best of luck!
