[10:05 AM] Apple Trading Sharply Higher In Morning Trading
by Staff

Apple has started off the day by trading sharply higher. Apple is trading at 119 3/8, up 12 3/16 as of 10:05 AM CST. That's a gain of 11.44% over yesterday's closing price. The markets are reacting favorably to Apple's stellar 1st quarter results announced yesterday. Several analysts have raised their targets for Apple in the face of the company's performance, further pushing the stock price. We will be bringing a full report on Apple's stock performance this afternoon.

For more of our coverage on Apple's stock and financial performance, check out the Apple Stock Watch Special Report.

The Mac Observer Spin: Indicators at this point in time are that Apple could sustain these gains throughout the day, though profit taking could also kick in. Wall Street is very bullish on the company.
