[9:30 AM] Ham Radio Operators: Support The Mac In Online Survey, Seriously
by Staff

Chris Smolinski of Black Cat Software sent usa note about a new online survey regarding which platforms ham radio operators are using. The survey is being conducted by the American Radio Relay League. Check out the survey to help eliminate the perception that there aren't any hams using Macs. From Black Cat Software:

The American Radio Relay League (the largest amateur radio organization in the US) has a survey regarding which platform hams are using. Hams using Macs should certainly make sure their voice is heard. There is already the perception that there is no ham radio software for the Mac, and no hams use Macs.

Check out the survey and support the Mac.

The Mac Observer Spin: Since Mr. Smolinski isn't tooting his own horn, we will do it for him. His company, Black Cat Software, has been producing ham radio oriented software for the Mac for a long time. If enough Mac using ham operators participate in this survey, perhaps other companies will see the value in porting their own software to the Mac. The bottom line? If you are a ham operator, go and support the Mac by filling out this survey.
