[9:00 AM] Get Your Desktop Pictures Online, Webshots Updated
by Staff

Webshots has announced the release of Webshots Desktop Lite 1.0.2, the new Mac version of its online desktop photo software. The update fixes bugs. According to Webshots:

Webshots Desktop Lite is the first version of Webshots Desktop for the Macintosh. With the Lite version, Macintosh users can customize their desktop with a single click from the Webshots site - selecting from thousands of the highest-quality photos available.

New Features / Fixes

  • Supports the user-defined Positioning setting in the Appearance Control Panel. This is useful for unusual sized images and displays (e.g. the Apple Cinema Display).
  • Fixed bug where Webshots would switch the Appearance Control Panel's Variation color to Lavender.
  • Fixed bug failing to initialize the QuickTime Library.
  • Fixed bug caused by dragging and dropping a .wbz file onto the application with image resampling turned on.
  • Removed June 1st expiration code that was accidentally present in early copies of v1.0.1.

Webshots Desktop Lite is free and a full (free) version is coming out this summer. You can find more information at Webshots' site.
