WEBINTOSH.COM RENAMED THE MAC OBSERVER
Daily Mac magazine joins exclusive MacAddict Network

AUSTIN, TX & BRISBANE, CA (December 28, 1998) -The Mac Observer joins The MacAddict Network today. This adds The Mac Observer to the list of top Macintosh news sites on the Internet. "This new partnership adds a new perspective to The MacAddict Network and brings increased awareness to The Mac Observer," remarks Dave Hamilton, Business Manager for The Mac Observer.

Known for the past two years as Webintosh, today also marks the re-birth of the online magazine as The Mac Observer. "After a lot of thought, we decided that the name 'Webintosh' didn't accurately describe the content of our site. We feel 'The Mac Observer' more fully encompasses the essence of what we're about," says Bryan Chaffin, The Mac Observer's Editor-in-Chief. "Joining the MacAddict Network at the same time makes this change even more appropriate."

Founded in January 1997, The Mac Observer features daily Mac news, analysis, resources, and weekly columns. One can visit The Mac Observer at http://www.macobserver.com. "While the MacAddict Network continues to prove its staying power, with increased earnings again in 1998, it remains a privilege for us to be able to add top-quality Mac sites to our tight-knit community," states Associate Publisher of New Media for the MacAddict Network, Camilla Colegrave.

Published by Imagine Media, the core of the network consists of the award-winning MacAddict.com and Guy Kawasaki's The EvangeList, while other existing members of the network's unique affiliate program are among the best Mac sites on the Internet and include: MacSurfer, VersionTracker, NoBeige, O'Grady's PowerPage, AppleJedi, The Iconfactory, Inside Mac Games, EveryMac, Mac Resource Page, MacFixit, deal-mac, MacGamer's Ledge, MacCentral, and As the Apple Turns. Affiliate sites are selected based on the highest editorial criteria. Visit the MacAddict Network at http://www.macaddictnetwork.com
