Washington Apple Pi Hosting iBook Demo
Washington Apple Pi is hosting an iBook demonstration on August 28th, and if you are in the Washington area, you can go and see it too! According to Washing Apple Pi:

It's the "iMac To Go" and if pre-sales figures are any indication, Apple Computer's new portable iBook is going to be another mega hit for the Cupertino, California company. On Saturday, August 28th, Apple will demonstrate its new iBook at the Washington Apple Pi Computer User Group's Monthly Meeting in Annandale, Virginia. The public is invited to come and see why this colorful cousin to the iMac caused such a sensation at the recent MacWorld Conference in New York City.

"We are thrilled to be one of the first Mac User Groups to get an up-close and personal demonstration of the iBook," says WAP President Lorin Evans. "The iBook's eye-catching design encloses a blazingly fast computer that can handle just about anything thrown at it. We invite anyone interested in Apple's newest computer to come take a look."

Also on tap - Fortner Software will show off the latest version of its terrific data visualization software. Noesys 2.0 is a powerful software suite that makes data analysis and visualization with all types of data quick and easy.

The Washington Apple Pi General Meeting on Saturday, August 28th begins at 9am, at the Community and Cultural Center Gymnasium Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale Campus 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale Virginia. It is open to all and parking is free.
