[3:30 PM] Three Of The Top 20 SETI@home Club Teams Are Mac Based
by Staff

Team Mac Observer, our SETI@home Team, has moved firmly into the Top 20 Club Teams, out of thousands of Club Teams. This means that 3 of the Top 20 teams are Mac-based teams. Team MacAddict occupies the #2 spot, amd O'Grady's Mac PowerBook Team occupies the #9 spot. For those keeping score, Team Art Bell has owned the top spot since about 3 weeks after the late night talk show host announced the team. If you need more information on SETI@home, read all about it.

Of interest is the fact that there are no Windows oriented Club Teams. There are Linux teams (lots of those), OS/2 teams, and even some Amiga teams, but no Windows teams. You can see all the Club Teams at the SETI@home web site.

Our Team speed continues to improve as well as we are currently averaging 16 hr 41 min 25.7 sec per work unit.

Congrats to all the Team members, including our company members! Also, we want to welcome all the new members who have brought us to 349 members. We still need you though, so join up today! It's easy, and we have put together the few instructions for you.
