[4:00 PM] Still Looking For A Clock That Looks Like An iMac? Order It On The Web (With Pic)
by Staff

We ran a couple of stories (It's An iMac! It's A Computer! No, It's, It's... A Clock?, More On The iMac Alarm Clock, and The iSpark: Another iMac Clock?) about some various iMac look-alike alarm clocks. Those articles included a clock that one can by at Staples, but we were not able to find one to purchase on the web. Observer Mike Rocus has done so however. At a site called Lifestyle Fascination has the clock that was originally reported from France. According to LifeStyle Fascination:

We've never seen radio-controlled technology priced so inexpensively, so we grabbed this one up! At regular intervals the clock picks up signals from the US Atomic Clock and adjusts itself to the world's most exact time.

Plus: it also gives you precise indoor and outdoor temperature in Fahrenheit or Centigrade, an ice alert, and time and date on a backlit LCD. Alarm gives you a five-minute snooze to catch a few extra ZZZZs. Uses 2 “AAA” batteries (not included). Measures 3"W x 2*"H x 1*"D.

The clock is priced at US$29.95 and can indeed set itself according to the US Atomic Clock. To find it, head to the Lifestyle Fascination web site and type "Atomic Click" in the search box. That takes you to a page with several improperly sized thumbnails of different products, one of which is the Atomic Radio-Controlled Alarm Clock with Thermometer.

The Mac Observer Spin: As Chandler Bing from Friends would say: "Could this *be* any more of an iMac copy?" That said, it seems like a nifty little play toy.
