Luminex Upgrades Network CD-R To 6X
Luminex has announced that it is upgrading the CDR-Power-100 Library and the NET-CDR network CD-Recorder to have 6X burning speed. Both products are network CD burners that allow multiple user read and write abilities to as many as 100 CDs at a time. According to Luminex:

"The Luminex CDR-Power-100 library is delivered as a complete CD archiving and networking solution. The library has a 100 disc capacity, and is available in combinations from one CD-Recorder and three CD-ROM drives to a full four CD-Recorders, and includes Luminex's premier Fire Series(TM) software. The Luminex HOTfolders(TM) automated archiving software is also available as a popular option. The MSRP of the CD-Recordable library solution starts at $16,995.

The NET-CDR is a reliable, easy to use, UNIX-based network CD-Recording solution. The NET-CDR solution now includes a 6x speed CD-Recorder, along with a hard disk data buffer and the Fire Series CD-Recording software. The MSRP of the NET-CDR solution is $4,995."

The systems do not run on a Mac, but they do recognize HFS formatting in both a read and write capacity, meaning that Mac clients can access the systems. This makes them ideal solutions for mixed-platform environments.
