An Observer Reports That Yosemite G3s Arrived In Thailand
Matthew Gallyer reports from Thailand that the Blue and White Yosemite G3 models have arrived. Matthew's letter in full:

"Hi.

The new iMacs and G3s are available in Bangkok now! They come with Thai keyboards (made in Singapore) and Thai MacOS 8.5

Prices are as follows:
Old iMac - Baht 43,900 (US$1,220)
New iMac - Baht 51,900 (US$1,440)
G3 Blue & White - Baht 73,000 to 135,000 (US$2030 to $3750)

Thailand definitely has some tax on these, but I don't know the rate. If you can get Hong Kong prices those will be tax free, as HK is a free port, ie. no duty, no sales tax.

These prices are from an article in the Bangkok Post which also states that 500 iMacs sold in first 2 months here.

Interestingly the Apple Business Partner (The Value Systems) is quoted as saying the more popular iMac colours will cost more than the less popular colours....I don't think that came from Apple but that's what he says.

Matthew Gallyer."

The Mac Observer Spin: Thanks for the report Matthew. We hope you get to get a new machine for yourself!
