The Mac Observer Fields iGames Tourney Team And Wins!
This Saturday, The Mac Observer fielded a team to compete in the iGame.org Myth II: Soulblighter tournament at Floppy Joe's in College Station, Tx.. The team consisted of Bryan Chaffin (John Galt of The Corporation Myth II order) our Editor-In-Chief, and Chris Wilson (Legolas of Clan Plaid Myth II order), a contributing artist for The Mac Observer. The team members each won a high-end PC 3D card (the Riva TNT) and a SoundBlaster Live PC sound card, a Cambridge Sound Works Surround Sound speaker system, a Logitech USB mouse, some T-shirts and other gaming paraphernalia. The Mac Observer swept the tourney winning every game they played. Congrats to our own!

The Mac Observer Spin: Ok, the turnout was kind of low, but our boys played very well and deserved to win! As the only two Mac users to show up at this location, they report being made to feel very welcome by the PC-only software store, though their was some consternation from some participants and spectators at having out-of-town Mac users win all the cool PC prizes. Fortunately the store and other attendees bought the video cards and sound cards letting our champions walk away with a pocket full of cash!

On a more serious note, iGames.org deserves a ton of credit for trying to bring spectators to gaming events. The organization's stated goal is to use gaming to bring people together and they are accomplishing that. With reports from other Myth players telling us of the many 1st and 2nd place showings from other locations (22 locations in all) that Mac users made hopefully the organization will start to pay more attention to Mac gaming.
