IRC Client, Snak, Updated To Version 3.0
Kent Sorensen has updated his IRC client Snak to version 3.0. IRC, or Internet Relay Chat, is the Internet equivalent of an AOL chat room, though with a much larger audience and no moderation. The new version of Snak includes many new features and improved performance. According to Kent Sorensen:

Version 3.0 introduces a very flexible interface, allowing for the docking of multiple interfaces in a window, and optional separation of the input field and user list. Speech and window tiling is supported.

It also provides extensive online help with an online manual, ToolTips for help on individual window items, a Setup Assistant and Command Reference.

DCC resume is supported for both Binary and MacBinary, and the DCC status window now have buttons for easier file transfer.

The server list is updated and extended, and the contents of the contextual and tools menu can be changed.

Snak now comes with the powerful PurePak script package written in the ircII scripting language which provides many useful functions to the serious IRC'er as well as the casual user.

A full list of the changes in each version can be found in the Version History chapter of the manual and on the website.

Snak is shareware and functions for 30 days without registration. The full version of the product is priced at US$20.
