WebObjects Wins Best Application Server Award From Java Developer's Journal
Apple has received an award from the Java Developer's Journal for WebObjects. WebObjects was named Best Application Server receiving 20% of the 15,000 votes cast. According to JDJ:

Java Developer's Journal (JDJ), the world's leading print publication targeting Java professionals, today recognized the best software products providing business solutions with Java. JDJ presented its Readers' Choice Awards during a ceremony held at JavaOne. The awards were given to the winners and finalists before a crowd gathered at the SYS-CON Radio booth where JavaDevelopersJournal.com and SYS-CON Radio brought this event live to the software industry and the readers of JDJ.

More than 15,000 Java Developer's Journal readers cast their votes to select the best products of the year. The results of the poll were received at Java Developer's Journal on June 6, 1999. Winners and finalists in 14 award categories were acknowledged for the contributions they have made in developing Java-based solutions that respond to and meet the increasing demands of the industry. "Products that advance the age of Java technology are introduced every day," said Sean Rhody, editor-in-chief of Java Developer's Journal. "The tremendous amount of product nominations we received created a great challenge for the participating vendors of the 1999 Readers' Choice Awards. After a close review of all the nominations, the winners and finalists did not come as a surprise."

Unfortunately, there is not much more specific on WebObjects relating to the poll, but congratulations to Apple!
