"Pirates" Jobs Star Appeared On Conan O'Brian Promoting Movie
Last night on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, the costar of "The Pirates of Silicon Valley," Noah Wyle, made an appearance. Mr. Wyle plays Steve Jobs (opposite Anthony Michael Hall) in the movie which is all about the beginnings of Apple and Microsoft.

The movie is not particularly flattering to either character, but Mr. Wyle is in fact a Mac user according to a MacCentral article.

In last night's appearance, Mr. Wyle made it clear that himself was an admirer of both Mr. Jobs, and Steve Wozniac, the two cofounders of Apple.

What was unusual about the appearance was that Conan O'Brien, the host of Late Night, kept talking about Bill Gates, though he knew that Mr. Wyle was playing the role of Mr. Jobs. When Mr. Wyle started talking about the two Steve's, Conan O'Brien would steer the conversation back to Mr. Gates with questions like "Do you think Bill Gates will see it?," "Gates is not a person you want to make angry." as well as other jokes that all dealt with Bill Gates.

We are not suggesting any collusion or plot on the part of Mr. O'Brien of course, it was just somewhat strange that he kept referring to a part played by someone who was not a guest. It would have been nice to hear more of what Mr. Wyle thought of his role and of Steve Jobs.

"The Pirates of Silicon Valley" will be airing starting on June 20th on the TNT network (a cable network). We suggest you check your local listings for your time, but expect it to be in the 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM time frame locally.
