New 466 MHz Upgrade For 1st Generation G3s Introduced

Phase 5 Digital Products, a European based company has entered the fast lane market of 466 MHz Copper G3 upgrade cards. The new card is designed to work with the 1st generation of Power Mac G3s. According to Phase 5: G3 POWER BOOSTER, a G3 upgrade card for the first-generation Power Macintosh G3 computers. This new product provides a significant performance upgrade, to a performance level far beyond  that of any currently shipping Power Mac computer. The G3 POWER BOOSTER /466 utilizes a 466 MHz PowerPC750 processor in copper technology, and features 1MB fast BackSide Cache running at 233 MHz. The G3 Power Booster is expected to ship in April for US$1149 in North America. The product will ship in Europe for Euro 1099. Phase 5 Digital Products
