KeyServer Follow-Up: Doesn't Need A Server
We received a note from John Tomeny, Director of Marketing for Sassafras Software, in regards to our story on Sassafras. KeyServer is a license metering application. The application, while compatible with many file servers, does not actually require a server to run. According to Mr. Tomeny:

Actually, KeyServer does not require the presence of any file server. (It just happens to be compatible with, and "host-able" from, all of the major servers on the market.) Applications served by KeyServer can be installed anywhere - on end-users' desktops, on any type of file servers, or even on mobile computers. For client desktops, KeyServer supports application access from all 16- and 32-bit Windows computers, all Macintosh and Power Macintosh OS's, MAE, A/UX, and Thin-client desktops.

Thanks for that correction John!
