New Mac Site With A Touch Of Attitude Launched
A new web site called The Daily iMac has been launched, and the publishers seek to make their mark by bringing a little attitude to the web. According to Amy Hoy, Editor-In-Chief of the site:

Daily iMac, a personable new content-oriented Mac site, will be launched publicly on Monday, March 22nd, by its editors, David Phelan and Amy Hoy. While there will be daily news and updates, our primary focus will be original content: articles, buzzword busting, realistic evangelizing tips, how-to's. Our site is not just for iMac users, nor does it focus merely on iMacs and their futures; instead, Daily iMac is about all new Mac-related technologies from the original G3s to the technology that hasn't made its way into the public eye as of yet.

Our goal is to meet the needs of everyday people, not just technical aficionados; we want to be the friendly "Mac site for *all* of us." One of the most obvious implementations of this goal is the "Power User" set of columns, where features of the Mac OS that can increase productivity or just save time are explained in detail to those who many not know about them otherwise. Our multifunctional, cross-referencing glossary database is one feature that we hope will help improve the Daily iMac experience as it matures. Soon, our USB product lists will be converted into a database that will help users figure out what they need, and where they can purchase it.

We know that we can bring something new and special to the field in the original spirit of the Macintosh.

You can check out their first editorial called Small Furry Animals that explores the relationship between mammals.org and Apple.

The Mac Observer Spin: The Mac Observer would like to welcome The Daily iMac to the Mac web community! We have been talking with Ms. Hoy for the last several months and we think that she and her team have put together a great new site that many Mac users will find indispensable. As the editorial linked above shows, the editorial staff at The Daily iMac takes a fresh approach towards covering Apple issues. Good luck Amy!
