[12:14 PM] Play Incorporates Ships 3D Modeling Tool by Staff Play Incorporated, the mega Windows peripheral producer of Snappy (video screen capture card), has released Amorphium. Amorphium is a cross platform (simultaneous release) 3D modeling tool aimed at the consumer market that wants a professional tool.
Amorphium is priced at US$149 and should be showing up in retail outlets near you soon (expect it to be about two weeks). The Mac Observer Spin: We have said it before, but it bears repeating: It is a very good thing for the Mac market to have Play Incorporated making Mac products. This company is a powerhouse in the PC world based on the strength of Snappy. After its acquisition of Electric Image in April of 1998, Play had an entire Mac portfolio which it embraced with open arms. Since then, the company has won several Mac awards for Amorphium which has gotten rave reviews and previews. |
