Frank Reiff Announces Utility To Control File Attributes
Frank Reiff Shareware has announced another tool in the A BEtter Finder series. The new utility is called A Better Finder Attributes and helps you control file attributes. According to Frank Reiff:

"A Better Finder Attributes" is a contextual menu plugin for the Macintosh Finder, which allows users to quickly change attributes such as creation and modification dates as well as the Finder flags of single or multiple files or folders. Up to now changing these attributes meant "hacking" them individually in ResEdit.

"A Better Finder Attributes" allows users to change the following file and folder properties:

  • creation time and date
  • modification time and date
  • backup time and date
  • name locked
  • file locked
  • the invisible flag
  • the inited flag
  • the shared flag
  • the stationary flag
  • the alias flag
  • the use custom icon flags
  • the no inits flag
  • the bundle resource flag, etc..

"A Better Finder Attributes" is a simple tool which can save many hours of tedious work to Macintosh users who deal with large numbers of files. It is especially useful for people working with large file or cd-rom archives.

A Better Finder Attributes is shareware priced at US$10. A site license is available for US$25.
