Bare Bones Software is celebrating the company's sixth birthday this week, and in honor of the anniversary, they are giving away six copies of their flagship product BBEdit--the leading Macintosh text and HTML editing tool.
"We owe our success to our customers; it is their support that has made it possible for us to thrive," said Rich Siegel, the company's founder and CEO. "We are living proof that a Mac-only business model is viable today, just as it was six years ago."
"For loyal Mac developers like Bare Bones it's great news that the Macintosh is once again a platform where software companies can create great products and a great business," said Clent Richardson, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "BBEdit is an essential tool for many Macintosh customers and developers and on behalf of the Mac family around the world I'd like to wish Bare Bones many more years of happy returns."
