Pirates Of Silicon Valley Has Surprise Debut On TNT
TNT may be a bit confused, but we have had several readers tell us that The Pirates Of Silicon Valley debuted last night, despite the fact the debut had been pushed back to June 20th. While another movie was scheduled to show, several Observers managed to catch the show when channel surfing.

For those who may not be aware, Pirate of Silicon Valley is a movie about the goings on in Silicon Valley with Anthony Michael Hall as BIll Gates and Noah Wyle as Steve Jobs.

This came in anonymously:

Did you know "Pirates of Silicon Valley" aired last night on TNT? I was up very late (after 12am central) and caught it about 10 or 15 minutes after it started. It was pretty good overall, except the ending didn't talk about t Apples resurgence in the 18 months.

The TV guide had the movie about Mt. St. Helens scheduled to air but "Pirates" was actually showing.

Mitchell J Laurren-Ring wrote in and told us a bit more:

Last night (actually early this morning) I was channel surfing when I came upon "Pirates of Silicon Valley" showing on TNT. I started watching around 1:30 am PST and it was just underway. Yesterday (5/23) was supposed to be the original premiere date for the movie, but it supposedly was moved back to June 20.

The movie was good but ended too soon into the story (where Microsoft ponies up 150 million for Apple). Jobs was obviously portrayed as the maniacal genius. Gates as the scheming evil genius. Woz as the well-intentioned genius.

TNT has a web page set up for this movie. The premiere date is June 20th according to this web page.

The Mac Observer Spin: Be sure and check out the web page for the movie as there is a Java wealth calculator for both Tycoons. The calculator for Mr. Gates has a couple more digits that the calculator for Mr. Jobs's does not. :-)
