Shareware utility guru Frank Reiff has announced a new member to his A Better Finder series of utilities. A Better Finder Info targets the Mac's Get Info feature and allows greater control over files. According to Mr. Reiff:

A Better Finder Info is a contextual menu plugin for the Macintosh Finder, which supplements the Finder's "Get Info..." feature and provides additional information about files and folders. It allows users to display and change file attributes such as Finder flags, file creator and type codes, etc..

A Better Finder Info allows the following file properties to be displayed and changed:

  • Finder flags, such as "Is Invisible", "Use Custom Icon", etc.
  • file creator and type
  • file lock
  • name lock
  • etc.

Multiple access methods for all your needs:
