Apple released Thursday Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.20, an update that adds support for 15 new DSLR cameras from Canon, Olympus, Panasonic, and Sony.

RAW is a file format for storing photographs where each pixel is unprocessed, and it’s aimed at professional and enthusiast photographers who need the maximum amount of information to work with when post-processing.

Apple announced that iOS 10 would support RAW images for some devices during last week’s World Wide Developer Conference, but the company still has to issue OS X patches for individual new DSLR models when they ship.

Apple’s patch notes for Thursday’s update:

This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to OS X El Capitan:

  • Canon EOS-1D X Mark II
  • Canon EOS 80D
  • Canon EOS Rebel T6 / 1300D / Kiss X80
  • Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II
  • Olympus PEN-F
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF8
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GX7 Mark II / GX80 / GX85
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS100 / TZ100 / TX1
  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 III

You can download it through the Mac App Store (7.8MB), or as a standalone 8.1MB download from Apple’s site.
