Instagram is introducing a new artificial intelligence video generation tool inside its standalone Edits application. It is designed this feature to help creators build video clips from scratch without needing to record original footage with a camera. Users across the United States can now simply type out a detailed text description or upload existing photos and videos to generate custom media directly on their mobile phones.
Users can generate custom clips by typing simple text prompts
Inside the Edits application, people can start the process by tapping the plus icon and selecting the new artificial intelligence option. From this menu, a person enters a description of what they want to see.
Instead of relying completely on text commands, creators can also upload personal photos or existing video files from a camera roll. The application uses these uploaded files as a foundation to shape the final output. This gives creators much more control over the generated video while removing the pressure to shoot fresh footage manually.
Meta keeps its creative tools separated from the main interface
Meta has spent the last year heavily investing in generative media features. It recently reported a massive spike in user adoption following the launch of the Vibes feed in late 2025. By placing this new video creator strictly inside the Edits software, the company shows a very structured plan for its software ecosystem.
Keeping these advanced tools out of the primary Instagram feed helps separate the editing process from basic photo sharing. As it expands these features, the volume of computer-generated media will likely grow across the entire network.
It was litterally already pulled, all of my accounts no longer have access to this feature. What gives??
