The new iPhone models stick with the same LCD screen sizes—4.7-inches for the iPhone 8 and 5.5-inches for the iPhone 8 Plus. They’ll also ship with iOS 11 pre-installed.

The device is made of aero-space-grade aluminum from a 7-layer process. Apple didn’t specify that process, but claimed it’s substantially stronger.

iPhone 8 has a 12 megapixel camera with new sensors and “deeper pixels.” It also features a new color filter and includes optical image stabilization.

Apple is using a new A11 processor that is 25% faster than its A10 predecessor in 2-core mode, and 70% faster than then A10 in 4-core mode. It also features an Apple-designed video encoder the company says offers faster video frame rates and real-time image and motion analysis.

Apple also said the device’s cameras are optimized for augmented reality.

More details to follow.
