Apple has released Safari Technology Preview 244, the latest version of its experimental browser that gives developers and advanced users early access to upcoming Safari features and improvements. Apple first introduced Safari Technology Preview in 2016, and the browser continues to serve as a testing ground for changes planned for future Safari updates.
Safari Technology Preview 244 includes fixes and performance improvements across several parts of the browser, including Accessibility, Animations, CSS, Forms, HTML, Images, JavaScript, MathML, Media, Networking, Rendering, SVG, Scrolling, Security, Storage, Web API, Web Extensions, Web Inspector, WebAssembly, WebGL, and WebGPU.
The update supports Macs running macOS Sequoia and macOS Tahoe, which means users testing Apple’s latest operating systems can continue using the preview browser without compatibility issues.
How to Download the Update
Users who have already installed Safari Technology Preview can download version 244 through Software Update in System Settings. Apple also allows anyone to download the browser from its website without requiring a developer account.
