House Democrats will introduce a bill this Wednesday called Save the Internet Act in a bid to restore net neutrality rules (via Gizmodo).

Save the Internet Act
In a letter to her colleagues House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said the Save the Internet Act will be introduced Wednesday morning at 11:15 AM. Text of the bill is not available, although it’s likely to reestablish broadband internet access as a telecommunications service under Title II of the Communications Act. It will be led by Senator Ed Markey.
This rule in 2015 gave the FCC the authority to protect online businesses and consumers against “any unreasonable practices of broadband providers.” However, in 2017 Ajit Pai, along with three Republican FCC commissioners, voted to repeal those protections.

Cable companies that provide phone service love to claim that they aren’t really phone companies and are therefore not subject to the same regulations that apply to companies like AT&T.
And it will die in the Senate because they march in lockstep with Lord Dampnuts.
