  • I really challenge the idea that a 2012 MacBook Pro or even 2012 MacBook Air is not fast enough for everyday tasks. Maybe devices which are memory constrained. Until it died recently (logic board failure), my 2007 MacBook Pro 17″ was plenty good for everything that I do on my Mac, especially for development. I must say that I replaced it’s platter drive with an SSD and that had a _yuge_ impact on overall performance (boot time went from almost 100 secs to under 25 seconds, for instance).

BTW, I miss the New York City edginess that John Kheitt (sic) brings to your podcasts. Otherwise, thanks for the enjoyable and useful podcasts.
