  • You ask why Apple has not updated much of it’s product line for 4 to 5 years on some major stuff. The answer is very simple, Tim Cook and his management team did not think it was necessary. We have 145,000 employees dedicated to the iPhone, notebook computers, music, a car thing, iTunes, a watch, AppleTV sort of and AirPods. They just don’t have the resources to do anything else. Apple has a board of directors who are happy with cashing in now on the ideas of the past and not really demanding the management team to look at what current users want and need to stay with Apple. Schools are leaving, professionals have left, gamers have left, and now corporate buyers are leaving because of lack of hardware updates. This is starting to catch even Tim’s eyes. Apple has so much more resources than it has ever had before but this seems to have had a negative effect on Apple’s ability to innovate and produce products. With the exception of the iPhone, which has all the resources it wants, I’ve seen very little, and when we get a “crumb” they seem to have major flaws in them. This has been very disappointing to me.
