  • LG Chem is responsible for the battery and powertrain of the Chevy Bolt $35k 200mile EV first seen 18 months ago and said to be released before year’s end. That’s an incredible 2 year from vapor to dealer by mega GM with a bunch of LG Chem. Can Apple go from vapor to well, exactly WHERE in 5 years?? Oh, Tesla and MobilEye just split up speaking of licensing and relationships… I heard MobilEye will jump in bed with BMW’s holy war against Tesla. MobilEye is camera and telemetric system stuff – exactly where Dan comes from – “systems” that are part of 100s of cars….. he’s a “systems” guy, NOT a car guy – QNX is in more phones than cars as of today. Apple has a LOT of time to see how the chips play out as well as how the NHTSA 5 levels of autonomy are rolled out…and like all Apple success TIMING will be key. Being that 5 years out is arbitrary and not one shred of proof exists – I’m still correct – there is no Apple car, and at best it’s scribbles on napkins otherwise an actual real object or testimonial would’ve been leaked by now. Assange would’ve given up all the details by now.
